Our art department enables our students to understand the different forms, history, and cultural significance of art. Students are encouraged to develop their own style by using both traditional and contemporary painting techniques to bring out their originality. Moreover, our comprehensive education provides students with interaction with other artistic disciplines.
Vision
Levent College Art Department aims to help students discover the power of art, develop their creativity, and find their unique artistic expressions. Our vision is not only to teach students technical skills but also to involve them in the depths and meanings of art. Our experienced teaching staff in the department strives to impart the basic techniques and artistic understanding that students need to learn during their educational process. In addition, we support students' individual work to help them improve and progress their skills. Curriculum
Middle School
Levent College offers a strong art education program in the art department to help students discover the power of art and develop their creativity. In middle school, students are given the opportunity to learn about art movements and artists and create original artistic projects using this knowledge.
High School IGCSE, AS ve A Level
Levent College prepares high school students for IGCSE, AS, and A-Level exams organized according to Cambridge and Edexcel curricula. These exams are recognized by universities and employers worldwide as academic achievements and offer many opportunities for students who choose to major in art and design. While preparing for these exams, students not only establish a strong foundation in art and design but also develop creative thinking, questioning, research, and problem-solving skills. These exams help students to conduct research on world art movements and artists and establish interdisciplinary connections.
Resources
Levent College's Fine Arts department provides the necessary resources for students to discover and develop their artistic talents. Among these resources are three painting classrooms, each carefully designed to provide students with a comfortable and productive working environment. All of our classrooms are equipped with adequate natural lighting and appropriate lighting systems. Additionally, each classroom is equipped with all the materials and tools that students may need, including canvases of different sizes, paintbrushes, and various types of paints, such as oil, acrylic, and watercolor.
While working in our painting classrooms, students not only improve their artistic skills but also learn all the necessary skills and knowledge required in this field. Our classrooms provide a space for students to express themselves, and at the end of the year, students showcase their artwork at the annual exhibition, which is attended by their friends, family, and teachers.
