Chemistry
Vision and Goals
Chemistry is a branch of science that systematically studies the composition, properties, and activities of organic and inorganic substances, as well as various basic forms of matter. After grasping the fundamentals of chemistry, including organic and inorganic compounds, the structure, properties, and behaviors of atoms, and the changes that occur when they react with other compounds, students will also learn how atoms and molecules interact through chemical bonds to create new chemical compounds, both theoretically and with the support of experiments conducted in the laboratory.Following the basic chemistry course taught in grades 6, 7, and 8 in our science classes, students may choose to pursue the IGCSE Chemistry program in grades 9 and 10, depending on their preferences. Our A-Level program is available in grades 11 and 12 for students who are planning to continue their education in the field of sciences.
Our Vision
The Chemistry Department aims to teach students the fundamental principles of chemistry, as well as the technology and instruments used in the laboratory, while also enabling them to develop their personal knowledge and skills.
Our Goals and Values
- To ensure that students can use many chemical and laboratory instruments safely in chemistry.
- To expand students' ability to interpret and understand basic chemistry information.
- To help students connect the basic chemistry knowledge they have learned to daily life.
- To provide students with hands-on laboratory experience to enhance their learning.
- To encourage students to generate new ideas using their knowledge, skills, and qualifications gained in chemistry class.
- To develop students' abilities to investigate, think critically, collaborate, solve problems, question, produce, and maintain a lifelong interest in science.
