Vision and Goals
The music department of Levent College aims to develop students' musical talents and foster a love of music. In pursuit of this goal, we strive to provide our students with quality music education and prepare them for success in the music industry.
In our music classes, students receive education in various areas such as music theory, instrument playing, choir and solo performances. Music theory classes provide students with the opportunity to learn music notes and basic music concepts. Instrument playing classes help students develop their musical abilities. Choir classes enhance students' teamwork skills and enable them to make music in harmony. Solo performance classes allow students to express themselves and gain stage experience.
Our Vision
The music department of Levent College aims for more than just providing students with the opportunity to develop their musical skills. Our department aims to help students adopt music as a way of life by developing their self-expression, creativity, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
We increase students' musical awareness by teaching them about different music genres and instruments. We also enhance their musical abilities by teaching them the fundamentals of music theory. This way, our students are progressing towards becoming individuals who can both listen to and make music.
Curriculum
6th, 7th and 8th Grade
Our classes, which are held once a week in middle school 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, aim to enable our students to read music notes, play melodies, improve their hearing and listening skills, as well as strengthen their brains while playing musical instruments.
9th, 10th, 11th and 12th IGCSE ve A Level
For students who choose our music classes as an elective in the 9th grade, our main goal is to ensure that they reach a level where they can start the IGCSE and A-LEVEL programs (ABRSM Theory & Practice, Edexcel, Cambridge) and then obtain the necessary knowledge and certificates in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. Our primary goal is to educate students who can attend music departments worldwide and meet international standards.
