Science
Vision and Goals
The Science curriculum of our school, aimed at developing all individuals as science literate, is taught to our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, with a total of 6 class hours per week allocated within the school program. Our curriculum, which combines biology, chemistry, and physics topics with mathematical skills, prepares our students to make more conscious choices in selecting their courses in high school. Additionally, our program is designed to teach our students to establish connections among the variables in the world we live in and to solve problems with creative thinking skills. Our Vision
Our vision is to encourage our students to develop an interest in and curiosity about events occurring in nature and their immediate environment and to improve their decision-making skills through scientific thinking habits.
Our Goals and Values
- To provide our students with basic knowledge in the fields of science, such as astronomy, biology, physics, chemistry, earth, and environmental sciences, and to ensure that they take an interest in and enjoy these topics.
- To instill in our students scientific process skills and research approaches while exploring nature and understanding the relationship between humans and the environment, and to enable them to produce solutions to problems encountered in these areas.
- To raise awareness of the mutual interaction between individuals, the environment, and society.
- To encourage taking responsibility for everyday life problems and to enable the use of scientific knowledge, scientific process skills, and other life skills related to science in solving these problems.
- To aim to develop individuals with advanced career awareness and entrepreneurship skills related to science.
