Sports Science
Vision and Goals
Sports Science is an interdisciplinary field that examines the effects of sports, exercise, and physical activity on the human body. This area aims to enhance human performance, maintain health, and improve overall quality of life. Sports Science combines various disciplines, integrating both theoretical and practical knowledge about sports and exercise. In this course, students learn how the body works and the physical and mental effects of exercise. They gain knowledge about training planning, movement efficiency, and sports psychology, while understanding the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the role of nutrition. All of this knowledge is applied to practical life, helping them develop broader perspectives.Students in Grades 9 and 10 can choose the GCSE Physical Education course if they wish. At the end of the two-year program, students take the GCSE exam.
Our Vision
Our vision is to support students' physical development while ensuring they understand Sports Science. Additionally, we aim to help them become socially aware individuals who have acquired social skills such as discipline, teamwork, and leadership through sports.
Our Goals
- To develop our students' scientific thinking, reading, writing, and arithmetic skills throughout the academic year.
- To equip students with the ability to apply biological knowledge and practices in daily life.
- To enable students to actively participate in and comment on discussions related to Biology and Science.
- To encourage the creation of new ideas by utilizing the knowledge, skills, and competencies gained in Biology classes.
- To nurture individuals who are inquisitive, think critically, collaborate, solve problems, question, produce, and are eager to learn about science for life.
- To teach students the fundamentals of Sports Science and enhance their theoretical knowledge throughout the academic year.
- To equip students with the ability to apply Sports Science knowledge to their daily life and sports activities.
- To promote healthy living habits and emphasize the lifelong importance of sports.
- To integrate the theoretical and practical aspects of sports, aiming to create individuals who are inclined towards teamwork, successful in collaboration, capable of problem-solving, and who understand the importance of sports for creativity and health.
